China Oil Southwest Oil and Gas Field Co. since 1958 has developed 114 gas fields with more than 2,300 gas wells in the Sichuan Basin. Cumulative natural gas production was over 500 billion cubic meters. As a leading developer of natural gas in the Sichuan Basin, the company has recently built three 10 billion m3-class areas. Annual production of shale gas will exceed 10 billion cubic meters this year.
