Group at Dalian University of Technology develops rapid test for waste oil adultery

CAS University of Science and Technology (USTC) joins „C9 league“, an elite alliance of nine Chinese universities

With this nomination, USTC is at the ranks of Peking U., Tsinghua U., Jiaotong U. etc. USTC, located in Hefei (Anhui Province), has produced some 50.000 graduates and 36 members of the CAS. China FDA publishes National Drug Abuse Monitoring Report 2013

The consumption of narcotics is generally on the rise and considered grim. Half of the drug abusers are under age 35. Medical drug abuse is low and declining, but synthetic drug consumption, with a preference for “ice” (metamphetamine) is 80 % of total and rose 42 % over the last five years, wheras the consumption of heroin is on decline. CAS Guangzhou Institute of Biomedicine and Health installs “Pluripotent stem cells and somatic cell reprogramming research group”

The “Innovation Team” headed by Duanqing Pei consists of five departments and will work for a period of 10 years.
