CAS Institute of Coal Chemistry-led consortium concludes successful test of 100,000 tons methanol to gasoline plant in Shaanxi.

The technology is based on a fixed-bed adiabatic reactor which converts methanol to gasoline products such as light gasoline, heavy aromatics and LPG in one step. Industrial partners in the project are Saiding Engineering, Yunnan Coal Chemical Indsutry Group and Shanxi Coal which has developed the catalyst. CAS news release, January 29, 2016
