CAS Shenyang Institute of Applied Ecology develops novel bacterial fungicide fengycin

The fungicide, co-developed with Aino Co., is based on Bacillus methylotrophicus BAC-9912 which produces a lipopeptide antibiotic. If applied at concentrations of about 1 kg/ha, it prevents growth of Botrytis cinera and other fungi and is non-pathogenic to humans and animals.
