The recently opened Daocheng Astronomy and Technology Center in Sichuan Province has launched a “time capsule” initiative as a cross-generational relay of civilization within the province.

They house a signature exhibit known as the ‘Unity of Heaven and Humanity Time Capsule.’ It can be considered China’s first true time capsule. Over the coming year, they plan to collect data—including cutting-edge technological achievements and information regarding human civilization—seal it away until a specific time in 2027, and have it opened 500 years from now.”
