The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) will establish 3 new centers:

1. the National Graphene Innovation Center will be established as Ningbo Graphene Innovation Center Co., Ltd. and will conduct research and development of key common technologies for the weak areas of graphene industry development,
2. the National Virtual Reality Innovation Center in Nanchang will focus on technological challenges limiting the development of China’s virtual reality industry and build a platform for research and development, demonstration, testing, and technical services,
3. the National Ultra-High-Definition Video Innovation Center, backed by Sichuan New Visualization Weichao High-Quality Technology Co., will enhance the industry’s public service and other capabilities.
