Sea farming platform prototype built in Guangdong

The CAS Guangzhou Institute of Energy Research and Guangdong Haiwei Agricultural Group will build a 30,000 m2 semi-submersible deep-sea farming platform  in Zhanjiang, Guangdong. The sea farming platform is planned to combine high-end fishery and tourism. It is  86 meters long, 32 meters wide and 16.5 meters high, has an effective aquaculture water body of more than 30,000 m3, 100% clean energy supply and a service life of more than 20 years. It is equipped with automatic baiting, working crane, desalination machine, sewage processor, fishery monitoring and other modern production and living equipment. The platform is equipped with a ballast system, which can float or sink the platform quickly, and the mooring system can adapt to water depth from 15 to 100 meters, and can withstand strong typhoons
