Cohort study of discharged COVID-19 Patients published

January 9, 2021 – The latest study followed 1,733 discharged COVID-19 patients who had been admitted to Wuhan Jinyintan Hospital in early 2020 was published in “the Lancet”. https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736(20)32656-8/fulltext

The study found that 76% of these patients six months after diagnosis of the COVID-19 still had at least one symptom, including muscle weakness, fatigue and sleep disturbances, and other psychological symptoms such as anxiety and depression were also common. In addition, the article noted that six months later, patients had lower antibody levels than at the beginning of the infection and were at risk for reinfection.
