Hydrogen energy is part of China’s future national energy system. The “Medium- and Long-Term Plan for the Development of Hydrogen Energy Industry (2021-35),” jointly launched in 2022 by China’s National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration, calls for “fully utilizing the clean, low-carbon advantages of hydrogen energy to promote the Promote green low-carbon transformation”.
Several Chinese provinces have launched policies related to the hydrogen energy industry, and in the primary market, investment in hydrogen energy is gaining momentum and also promoting the rapid development of the hydrogen electric bicycles industry. For example, Jiangsu Province has launched a regional standard called “Hydrogen Electric Bicycle General Purpose Technology Requirements,” which went into effect on October 22. Eleven hydrogen energy research and production companies and inspection and certification organizations participated in establishing this standard.
