AI tea-picking robot begins operation in Hangzhou tea plantation

An AI  tea picking robot has recently been introduced and put into operation at a tea garden in the Xihu District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province. The robot looks like a “hut” and its roof is covered with solar panels. Underneath the blue fuselage are two infinite tracks, just straddling the ridges. The robot is able to accurately identify the sprouts of West Lake Longjing Mingqian tea through image recognition and AI algorithms. In addition, the robot adopts photovoltaic technology, which enables it to pick tea continuously 24 hours a day in a green and environmentally friendly manner.
