Since Oct. 1, streetlights lining the major roads and streets of Fuxin City, Liaoning Province, are powered by green energy supplied continuously by local wind turbines and solar panels. Leveraging its abundant wind and solar resources, Fuxin City continues to accelerate the development of new energy projects. The scale of the new energy industry is expanding, and the capacity to ensure a supply of green power is steadily increasing.

As of the end of August 2026, the city’s total installed capacity for new energy power generation reached 6,729,600 kilowatts (kW), accounting for 80.5% of the city’s total power generation capacity. This breakdown includes 4,643,200 kW from wind power, 2,023,400 kW from solar power, and 63,000 kW from biomass power. A diverse and mutually complementary new energy supply system has largely been established.
