The yacht was built by Dalian Maritime University and adopts a 70 kW hydrogen fuel cell reactor developed by the CAS Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics. Recently, this institute has put emphasis on the application of hydrogen fuel cell technology and developed a new generation of reactors which can be applied to hydrogen fuel cell cars. This is the first application to shipbuilding, and the institute expects to promote the wide application of hydrogen fuel cell technology to “green shipping”.
