CAES Xinjiang Technical Institute of Physics finds improved properties of wind turbine blades made from carbon nanotube/polymer nanocomposites

By adding < 1.0 wt% of CNTs to the epoxy polymer material of wind turbine blades, thermal conductivity increased by 80 %, and various properties such as strength, toughness and fatigue resistance were largely improved.
