Thomson Reuter identifies 4 Chinese among the global 21 “hottest researchers” of 2012

Based on citations in international journals, the “hottest” Chinese researcher in life sciences in 2012 was Jun WANG, executive director of Beijing Institute for Genomic Research (BGI). The other three Chinese researchers worked in physics or chemistry at the Institute for Chemical Research, CAS, Wuhan University, and Shenyang National Research Institute.
