Group at CAS Institute of Microbiology relates Candida albicans morphology to pathogenic behavior

The group of Guanghua HUANG reports that three morphologies of C. albicans, gray, white and opaque, have differents expression profiles related to their pathogenicity. White forms secrete most of aspartyl protease leading to skin and mucosa infections.
