The laboratory will be run by 11 marine-related organizations, including the Ocean University of China and CAS Institute of Oceanology, and cover 150000 m2 with total investments of 1,3 billion Yuan. It will have 8 labs covering the research areas of marine and climate change, evolution and protection of marine environments, and sustainable use of marine biological resources.
