“Returning to the Garden: An Immersive Exhibition of Light and Shadow in the Qianlong Garden of the Forbidden City” was recently held at the National Library (National Classics Museum) in Beijing. Qianlong Garden is located northwest of Ningshou Palace in the Forbidden City, and includes gardens, architecture, paintings, sculptures, and other art. The event featured 15 immersive scenes and 17 interactive devices. Using cutting-edge digital technology, it was possible to experience the architectural aesthetics and humanistic anecdotes of traditional Chinese gardens.
