The industrial park serves as both the starting point and the core hub for the Pengfei Group’s hydrogen energy operations. It is driving the transition from traditional energy to clean energy by aiming to establish a dual-track hydrogen production model—combining hydrogen production from coke oven gas with water electrolysis—that represents the state of the art in China. Within the park, the methanol-reforming hydrogen production and heat source plant is a world-leading project capable of producing three distinct products—methanol, LNG, and synthetic ammonia—on a single production line. Compared to conventional methanol production technologies, it offers significant advantages in terms of product diversification and lower operating costs.

Employees within the park can get around using shared electric bicycles powered by hydrogen energy. These bicycles utilize low-carbon solid-state hydrogen storage technology and are driven by power generated from fuel cells. The inner walls of the hydrogen storage cylinders employ an aluminum alloy hydrogen adsorption technology, allowing hydrogen to be stored by adsorbing it onto the cylinder walls. The cylinder itself weighs 2 kilograms and can store 50 grams of hydrogen, enabling a range of over 50 kilometers on flat terrain. (Editor: YF)
