Shenzhen University of Technology has launched five medical projects for “Future Space Hospital” from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center aboard a test spacecraft. On-orbit experiments and tests are planned to be conducted over the next three years, as a “Future Space Hospital” moving from concept to practical implementation.

The tests combine medical devices, biopharmaceuticals, and innovative medical technologies.

The construction of the Future Space Hospital will proceed in three phases

• space engineering modifications to medical projects and their installation on the cargo spacecraft ‘Light Boat’,
• construction of a relay station  to conduct emergency medical services and scientific research in space,
• construction of medical modules for the Future Space Hospital on the Moon and other celestial bodies, exploring the provision of health support for human lunar landings and space travel
