China Jushi Huai’an Co., Ltd. (China Jushi), a subsidiary of China Building Materials Group, began operations of its 100,000-ton-per-year production line for electronic-grade glass fiber and 390 million meters of electronic cloth. This marks the world’s largest single-purpose production line for electronic glass fiber, signifying a new phase in the construction of the world’s first zero-carbon smart glass fiber manufacturing base.
According to the President of the company, the product lineup of this newly operational project includes high-end electronic substrates such as ultra-fine yarns and ultra-thin cloths, which can effectively meet the demand for high-performance PCB substrates in emerging fields such as high-end servers and automotive electronics. Green electricity will not only meet 100% of the production demand at the fiberglass site, but the surplus will also be supplied to households. Currently, the first phase of the wind power plant, 233 megawatts (MW), has already been connected to the grid and is operational, generating more than 600 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) annually with 47 wind turbines, achieving a carbon emission reduction of over 400,000 tons. When the second phase, 500 MW, is completed, the annual power generation is expected to reach 1.24 billion kWh.
