China’s R&D expenditures reach about 2,8% of GDP

During an interview at the Fourth Session of the 14th National People’s Congress (NPC) held on March 5, Minister of Science and Technology Yin Hejun states that by 2025, China’s R&D expenditures reached about 2.8% of the GDP. Of this, basic research expenditures exceeded 7% for the first time, setting a new record.
