China’s self-developed “Tianma-1000” unmanned transport aircraft completed its maiden flight. Developed by Xi’an ASN Technology Group under China North Industries Group Corporation, the aircraft integrates logistics transport, emergency rescue, and material delivery into a single platform.

It is China’s first unmanned aircraft capable of adapting to high-altitude complex terrain, achieving ultra-short takeoff and landing, and swiftly switching between cargo transport and airdrop modes. With a maximum range of 1,800 km, the aircraft can establish “air express lines” for rapid delivery. Equipped with smart route planning and obstacle avoidance, it autonomously identifies and navigates around obstacles like mountains and buildings, ensuring safe operations in unfamiliar airspace. An optical guidance landing system enables high-precision autonomous landings in low-visibility conditions, supporting operations in harsh environments.

It features a modular cargo cabin that allows quick reconfiguration for different tasks, enhancing adaptability to diverse missions. Itboasts an autonomous loading/unloading system that can handle tonne-level cargo within five minutes, fully automating tasks from planning to execution.

The aircraft has a service ceiling of 8,000 meters and requires a takeoff and landing roll distance of less than 200 meters. Its low requirements for landing sites allow it to operate on non-paved surfaces such as grasslands and compacted dirt roads.
