According to a speech by a representative  of the Ministry of Natural Resources of China, China and Africa are a community with a shared future, and China-Africa cooperation is a model for South-South cooperation. China will share Chinese satellite data with Africa and develop application models in more diverse fields, thereby further promoting satellite remote sensing technology to make greater contributions to the social and economic development of China and Africa and the realization of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

To date, China’s National Satellite Remote Sensing Application Center has signed memorandums of understanding with government agencies in 16 African countries and has established 14 satellite remote sensing cloud service platform bases. China has provided its African partners with over 70,000 scenes of high-resolution remote sensing imagery free of charge, providing powerful spatial information support for African countries’ development plans.
