According to the “2025 China Computing Conference”, computing centers in seven cities, including the National Supercomputing Taiyuan Center, the National Cybersecurity Base (Wuhan) Computing Center, and the Qingdao “Heart of the Sea” AI Computing Center, had officially connected to the national supercomputing internet. This brings the number of connected core node computing centers to over 30, and the number of consortium members to over 200.
The focus of building a national integrated computing network is shifting from the deployment of digital infrastructure to placing equal emphasis on development and utilization, and promoting development through utilization. The Computing Power Interconnection Action Plan, released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, calls for the establishment of a relatively complete system of standards, identification, and rules for computing power interconnection by 2026, and the standardized interconnection of public computing power nationwide by 2028. It also aims to create a computing power internet capable of smart sensing, real-time discovery, and on-demand acquisition.
