Industrial robot production increased from 33,000 units in 2015 to 556,000 units in 2024. Service robot production increased to 10,519,000 units.

According to Xu Xiaolan, president of the China Institute of Electronics Engineers, humanoid robots are an advanced form of robot and an excellent carrier of embodied AI. They are expected to play an active role in household services, production and manufacturing, warehousing and logistics, border and maritime security, education, medical care and other areas, and are expected to drive new consumption, create new industries, expand new jobs and promote the accelerated development of new quality productivity.
