The CAS Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology has developed  a large-scale image restoration model named “HYPIR” that can restore a single photo in as little as 1.7 seconds and even achieves 8K-level details. It is expected to be used in multiple fields, including cultural preservation and preservation, video restoration, scientific research, and medicine. The restoration model has already undergone three updates, and without the need to adjust details one by one using image editing software as in the past, it can restore image quality to 4K or 8K in a short time. Furthermore, compared to existing text-to-image generation technologies, it is said to be able to reproduce details more accurately through large-scale data learning and training and feature extraction using algorithms.
