A scientific literature platform “made in China” with 90 million metadata

A world science and technology literature data platform “Dongbi” was announced at the 2025 World Digital Economy Conference held in Beijing on July 2nd.

The platform contains approximately 90 million metadata items of high-quality science and technology literature from around the world and also incorporates artificial intelligence (AI) functions. The basic functions of the platform are open to users around the world free of charge, and the aim is to promote high-quality science and technology research through services such as efficient literature search, citation analysis, and data tracking.

The platform was jointly announced by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Office for Investment and Technology Promotion and East China Science and Technology Data. The platform was collected, processed, and built based on an evaluation index system designed by a Chinese institution, and has its own intellectual property rights.
