At the same time as the increase in power generation capacity, investment in power grid projects is also surging. According to the report, capital investment in power grids is surging due to the construction of large-scale projects such as large-scale grid connection of new energy, digitalization and smartization of power grids, and ultra-high voltage. According to the report, in terms of power supply, the new power generation capacity nationwide will exceed 450 million kW in 2025, of which new energy will account for more than 300 million kW. The national power generation capacity at the end of 2025 will exceed 3.8 billion kW, up about 14% year-on-year, of which non-fossil energy will be about 2.3 billion kW, accounting for more than 60% of the total capacity. The proportion of coal-fired power generation is expected to fall to about one-third.
