Large-scale language model for “low-altitude industry” announced

March 3, 2025

The CAS Institute of Automation has introduced China’s first large-scale language model for the low-altitude industry in Changchun, Jilin Province.

Changchun City is among the first pilot cities for China’s low-altitude management reform. In its development plan for the “low-altitude economy” (an economic form based on low-altitude flight activities), the city aims to introduce application scenarios such as command and management of low-altitude flight services, urban governance, emergency rescue, and transportation. These include support for airspace management, route planning, aerial obstacle avoidance, and traffic control.
