China’s domestic sales of new energy vehicles exceed those of gasoline vehicles for the first time

According to the latest statistics compiled by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, the number of passenger car sales in China in July this year was 1.595 million. Sales of new energy vehicles were 853,000, exceeding the 742,000 gasoline vehicles for the first time.

From January to July this year, new energy vehicle production increased 28.8% year-on-year to 5.914 million units, while sales increased 31.1% to 5.934 million units, with new energy vehicle sales accounting for 36.4% of total new vehicle sales. New energy vehicle exports during the same period increased 11.4% to 708,000 units.
