According to the China National Satellite Meteorological Center, the meteorological satellite “Fengyun No. 4 B” successfully took over from “Fengyun No. 4 A” after about a month of drifting and operational tests. Operations resumed in geostationary orbit. After adjusting the position of the orbit, the monitoring range will further expand to the west, providing data support for weather forecasting, disaster prevention, mitigation, disaster relief, etc. to countries co-constructing the Belt and Road Initiative.

After the change from star A to star B, star A started drifting on the 5th. It will move from longitude 105°E to longitude 86.5°E and continue to conduct observations and services.
