Henan Junheng Industry Group Biological Technology Co. has received airworthiness certificate for its fuel SAF from the Civil Aviation Administration of China on January 20, the first time a private petrochemical company has received this certification.
SAF is a new type of aviation fuel that combines bio-manufactured green aviation fuel and conventional fuel in certain proportions, and can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by more than 80% over its entire life cycle, making it a viable alternative to green aviation energy. Raw materials are household waste fats and oils and rift valley oil.
The performance and functional tests of SAF were conducted earlier this month and showed that all standard values were met and that it is equivalent to No. 3 jet fuel.
