Passengers can pass through subway ticket gates by simply holding up their palms, without using a boarding card or 2D barcod. A new ticket gate and several automatic ticket vending machines have been installed at the line’s Caoqiao station. Unlike other ticket vending machines, its screen has an additional option, “Set up boarding by palmprint authentication,” and there is a circular palmprint authentication section at the bottom of the screen. Follow the instructions and scan your palm print, and a 2D barcode will appear on the screen. Next, the user must go through the WeChat mini-program to grant authorization, register his/her real name information, and set up “payment by palmprint authentication on WeChat”. After completing this procedure, the user holds his or her palm over the authentication section on the ticket gate to start the palmprint authentication process.
