According to a recent report by the Securities Association of China, IPOs of tech stocks on the Shanghai Stock Exchange’s STAR market and the Shenzhen Stock Exchange’s tech-heavy ChiNext market accounted for 75.68% of the country’s total IPOs in 2021. 165 companies listed on the STAR market raised about CN¥211.6 billion (about US$29.8 billion) through IPOs last year, accounting for 35.51% of China’s total IPO funds for the entire year. The 199 IPOs on the ChiNext market raised CN¥149.4 billion in 2021, accounting for 25% of the total.
