The “Sea Patrol 06” is 128 meters long, 16 meters wide, and 7.9 meters deep, with a full load capacity of 6,600 tons, a total main propulsion system output of 13,920 kW, a maximum speed of 23 knots, and a range of 10,000 nautical miles. It can cruise for 60 days at sea without external refueling, perform official duties, and reach all the world’s oceans except Antarctica and the Arctic. It can cruise the distant seas even in winds of 32.7~36.9m/s and wind speed of class 9, and can conduct maritime public affairs activities even in winds of 28.5~32.6m/s and wind speed of class 7. The “Sea Patrol 06” integrates the functions of maritime vessel rescue, maritime traffic patrol supervision and management, maritime emergency response, maritime accident response, maritime rights protection, and maritime exchange and cooperation. According to the official in charge of the Fuzhou Maritime Bureau, “Sea Patrol 06” is equipped with the Beidou system for ships, GPS (Global Positioning System), and satellite communication equipment linked with multiple satellites. It is capable of carrying out missions such as maritime patrol, maritime supervision and management, investigation and handling of maritime traffic accidents, and ship pollution monitoring. It can also be linked with communication command vehicles, maritime patrol vehicles, other public vessels, helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles, VTS (maritime traffic control system), and AIS (automatic identification system), making it an important component of the integrated “land, sea, air, and space” comprehensive supervision and management and rapid response system.
The “Sea Patrol 06” is the second 10,000-ton class maritime patrol vessel after the “Sea Patrol 09,” which was incorporated into Guangdong Province last year.
