20-4 National Development and Reform Commission outlines future industry plans for “145”

According to news from Japan, at a press conference on April 19 a spokesperson for the National Development and Reform Commission said, “China will plan future industries ahead of time and actively nurture and develop them. The focus will be on advanced technologies and industrial transformation fields such as brain intelligence, quantum information, genetic technology, futuristic networks, deep-sea, aerial and space development, hydrogen energy and energy storage. In terms of regions, the focus will be on regions with a strong industrial base and outstanding scientific and educational resources, and a series of future-oriented industrial technology research institutes and leading model areas will be developed to promote the formation of a development site for future-oriented industries. In addition, model projects of cross-industry integration will be carried out, and models for the application of several futuristic technologies will be built to accelerate their development.
