On March 1, a 100 kW hydrogen fuel-cell powered heavy-duty truck was launched by Beiben Trucks Group Co. in Baotou in north China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Beiben is a Chinese heavy-duty truck producer. The vehicle’s hydrogen storage cylinders use proton-exchange membrane fuel cells developed by Shanghai Jiao Tong University. It can work in extremely cold conditions of minus 30 C.
