China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) announced on February 22 that it has discovered another large oil and gas discovery in its Bohai oil field, about 140 km from Tianjin. The average water depth is about 23.2 meters. In the Bozhong 13-2-2 well, an oil layer of about 346 meters thick was found, and drilling has been completed to 5223 meters. According to the test, the average daily production of the well was about 300 tons of crude oil and 150,000 cubic meters of natural gas.
