According to a spokesman of MIIT (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology), China has now installed close to 700,000 5G stations, twice the total of the rest of the world. This infrastructure is expected to drive economic development and consumption. Already, 124 million units of 183 different models of 5G mobile phone have been sold.
