Nanocomposite protects wheat from powdery mildew disease

The group around WU Lifang at CAS Hefei Institute of Physical Sciences has developed a procedure to protect wheat from the pathogen causing powdery mildew disease, Blumeria graminis f. sp. tritici. They sprayed the wheat with a nanocomposite made from modified palygorskite, a natural clay.
