CAS Institute of Oceanography completes genome sequence of the Pacific white shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei

The Pacific white shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei is the dominant crustacean species in global seafood mariculture. A group around Jianhai XIANG has now produced a genome map and a high density linkage map of this species with over 6000 high density linkage markers which will be useful in breeding.
