China has launched its first near-space airship in Inner Mongolia

The 180.000 m3 He-based airship Yuanmeng („realized dreams“) is powered by solar energy and took a 24 hrs flight at 20 km height. Its 5- to 7-ton payload of data relays, datalinks, cameras and other sensors are powered by solar energy, as are its rotors.
