A polyhedral nanocage can store acetylene under ambient conditions

A mesoporous material, [Cu4(tddb)·(H2O)4]n·(solvent)x, developed by HONG Maochun and YUAN Daqiang at Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter can store around 200 cm3/g of acetylene at ambient conditions and may be a good candidate for safe storage and transportation of acetylene.
