In a press conference on Feb. 11, a representative of the government stressed that China will support GMOs technology. The legal system on GMO is in line with international standards, as is security management, technical regulation systems and administration which also covers a license for GMO research, testing, production, processing, and identity. Unauthorized production and secret planting is illegal and will be punished.
