China expects to be global leader in manufacturing robots by 2017

According to CAS, China at present has just 30 robots per 10.000 workers, as compared to 323 in Japan and 282 in Germany, but expects to use 428.000 robots in its manufacturing industries by 2017, driven by the car industry. Foxconn produces already an own robot, and ABB, Kuka, Yaskawa and Fanuc all have production sites in China.
