CAAS starts whole genome sequencing of Chinese steppe grass

Leymus chinensis accounts for 50 % of the grassland in Northern China and plays an important role in grassland productivity. The work will be coordinated by the Shenzhen Reseach Institute of CAAS (Dr HUANG Sanwen) and involve the Prairie Research Institute of the CAAS in Inner Mongolia.
