CAS Kunming Institute of Zoology finds salamander peptide good for wound healing

In mice experiments, tylotoin, a 12-aminoacid containing peptide (KCVRQNNKRVCK), was found to promote wound healing by enhancing proliferation of keratinocytes. Tylotoin also promotes the release of transforming growth factor beta1 and interleukin 6, which are essential in the wound healing response.
