CAS Kunming Institute of Zoology finds a potent anti-thrombotic peptide in horsefly salivary glands

The group around Ren LAI identified a is a KGD (Lys-Gly-Asp)-containing peptide (Vasotab TY) which binds to the fibrinogen receptor GPIIb/IIIa and has potent anti-thrombotic effects.
