CAAS Beijing Institute of Animal Genetic Engineering and Germplasm reports advances in minipig breeding

The group around Pingshu TANG has succeeded to inbreed minipigs to a high level of homozygosity, allowing for enhanced porcine xenograft standards. The minipigs will serve as models for human diseases, for drug analysis, and in future for cornea and liver xenotransplantation.
