In food packaging, total output value is expected at 600 billion Yuan (about 70 billion €) for the period of 2011 – 2015 (5 years). Paper packaging will contribute 36 million tons by 2015, plastic packaging 9,5 million, metal packaging 4,9 and glass packaging 15,5 million. 1.2 million sets of packaging machinery will be available by 2015. As a consequence, the China Plastic Film Industry Association decided to implement a product registration system from May 1st, 2014, to strengthen brand building.
